Dr Jessica Bedford graduated from post graduate medicine (MBBS) from the University of Notre Dame in 2014 following an undergraduate degree in Biomedical and Mechanical Engineering (Honours) at the University of Sydney. She finished her fellowship in General Practice (FRACGP) in 2019.
Jessica worked at Nepean hospital as a junior doctor and spent time training in paediatrics, emergency medicine, endocrinology, rehabilitation, psychiatry and neurosurgery. She also completed an elective term working in the trauma unit at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital in Johannesburg, South Africa in 2014.
Jessica has completed a certificate in reproductive and sexual health (FPNSW) and is trained in implanon insertion and removal. She has interests in paediatrics, gifted children, mens health, women’s health and mental health. Jessica also has other roles outside of general practice including working for Healthpathways as a clinical editor, assessing general practice registrars and teaching medical students at the University of Western Sydney.
Outside of work Jessica has interests in martial arts- she received her first dan black belt in mixed martial arts in 2005. She also has interests in mathematics and science, the arts, reading and spending time with her husband and young daughter.
