Louise has practiced as a GP in the Blue Mountains for over 21 years and has been a Partner at Hazelbrook General Practice since 1997. She has a Masters of Applied Epidemiology and has a strong interest in Public Health. She has worked part time as a Senior Research Fellow with the Department of General Practice at the Western Sydney University and was involved in research about community based cancer support services in the Blue Mountains. She has also run several evidence based journal clubs for local GPs in the Mountains.
Her interests are Chronic Disease Management, Diabetes and new models of care for general practice. Louise is also involved in teaching GP registrars at our practice and has been a GP supervisor for over 15 years.
Outside of work she enjoys bushwalking, yoga and pottery.
