Hazelbrook General Practice (HGP) now has availability for a VR GP to work full time or part time to be part of our mixed-billing practice.

Located just 65 minutes from Sydney CBD, HGP is renowned for providing exceptional primary care to the local community for over 20 years.

Permanent Part Time Registered Nurse

Another exciting opportunity awaits a Registered Nurse eager to work in a general practice providing primary health to the Blue Mountains community based in Hazelbrook.  This position is well-suited for a Registered Nurse with experience in General Practice or primary health settings, who is skilled in delivering quality care to patients with complex needs across various backgrounds and age groups. The ability to work independently, manage workloads efficiently, and meet deadlines is also essential for success in this role.

About you

You will have excellent communication skills, be detail-oriented, and have a passion for helping others whilst being confident   with administering immunisations, cold chain and working within infection control standards.  Additionally, your experience in Chronic Disease Management would be highly regarded.

Ideally, we are seeking someone who is happy to work 4 days (with a possibility of job share) a week (Monday & Friday) from 8.30 – 5.30 with the flexibility to increase hours during periods of leave, either on a casual or permanent part time basis – Award rates apply. 

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Triage and assessment of patients in the waiting room
  • Wound Management
  • Adult and paediatric immunisations
  • Assist doctor with clinical procedures
  • Maintain clinical documentation
  • Assist doctor with chronic disease management (TCA, GPMP and Health Assessments)
  • Maintaining recall and reminder systems
  • Management of stock control and equipment maintenance

Key Requirements

  • Current AHPRA Registration 
  • Experience working in a fast-paced General Practice and/or primary health setting
  • Ability to manage within a workplace setting with fluctuating levels of demand
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Current immunisation status in accordance with NSW Health guidelines 
  • Current Working with Children’s Check and CPR Certificate
